Teens

Trustee Ron Levitsky joins other
community leaders as the DHS Drivers ED department demonstrated
the new golf carts that utilize distorted vision goggles which
mimic drunk driving. The Township joined with other
organizations in Deerfield to purchase the golf cart in hopes of
promoting safe driving to our teen drivers.

Township Offers Program to Help
with Winter Heating Bills
Beginning September 1, residents at least 65 years old may apply
at the West Deerfield Township Office for assistance with
upcoming heating bills for the winter months. The program, Low
Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funded by the
State of Illinois, is available to residents whose combined
monthly gross income is not greater than $1276 for s single
person, or $1711 for a couple. An overdue bill or cut-off notice
is not required. The application takes just minutes to complete,
and can save hundreds of dollars this winter on your heating
